Leone expansion screws for removable appliances derive from eighty years of research, design and millions of clinical cases. Production takes place entirely in Italy on computer-aided, automated machines. Bodies and guides are machined to tolerances of ±0.01 mm, which is what guarantees the stability and precision the appliance depends on.
The male threads are cut to centesimal tolerances with a total absence of surface roughness, so friction stays constant through the whole expansion. A built-in screw stop at the end of the stroke prevents over-activation, rectified guided pins keep the two halves in line, and the anti-slippage thread holds the activation you have set.
